WHAT IS SLINGSHOT ?
At first glance, the Polaris Slingshot looks ridiculous. It can be described as a mutant between a motorcycle, a giant go-cart and a sports car. Is it a motorcycle or a car? Don’t worry about that – worry about whether you’re brave enough to ride it.
The chassis design of the Slingshot is one wheel at the back and two at the front. The vehicle is equipped with two seats – the driver and passenger sit side by side. Polaris Slingshot is powered by 2,0 Liter Prostar Engine with power of 178 HP @ 8,500 RPM. And although this number on paper does not give anyone goosebumps, in reality it knocks you off your feet. With a weight of just 1,636 Lb, Polaris Slingshot accelerates from 0 – 60 MPH in just 4.1 seconds! Automatic transmission gives anyone chance to drive, since there is no need to shift gears. Top speed is limited to 125 MPH. The extra wide rear tire provide the perfect compromise between cornering stability and the ability to slide the vehicle to controlled skid. Driving Polaris Slingshot is like driving big go-cart. The low driving position makes you feel faster than you actually develop. In the open cockpit there is only what is necessary for fast driving. While driving the Slingshot, you will smell the surrounding smells and hear the roar of the front engine.
